Now, it has been going on for a while that Samsung has been working on a camera that has 16MP in it and has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Well, according to Korean media, this same piece of equipment will get to all Samsung's premium phones in the next year.
If this is so, then this camera will be featured in the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Samsung had recently introduced the ISOCELL mobile camera technology that promises better exposure and less blur, so the scales might tip in its favor. So far we've only had 13 MP modules with OIS tech in the Android land, so going 16 MP will have to be a new sensor technology.
