The Samsung Galaxy S series is one of the biggest selling mobile phone series, if not biggest selling mobile phone series, in the world. With one new Galaxy S model coming out every year around March time, Samsung always brings major and big changes to the next model of the phone. From the original Samsung Galaxy S to the now Samsung Galaxy S4, these phones have a lot of differences.
Even though it is no way near the time for rumors for the Galaxy S5 (next version from the Galaxy S series), they are already floating around the web. So let's get to them!
Sources from Korea claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 would be announced/released in January/February, earlier than other Galaxy S announcements/releases, due to poor sales from the Galaxy S4. This turend out be wrong as Samsung announced that they had sold over 40 million Galaxy S4's. It sold 10 million within the first month of release and double that amount in the second month of release.

However, one certain fact is that the Galaxy S5 will be featuring a 64-bit processor. Samsung announced this just after the iPhone 5S was released with a 64-bit processor. Samsung's co-CEO Shin Jong-Kyun has promised that Samsung will match the processor found in the iPhone 5S.

At the beginning of September, rumors broke out that suggested that Samsung is working on a slimline 16 megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). Then, around October time reports suggested that Samsung may employ a Sony 16 megapixel camera instead of their own.
Also, Samsung clearly stated that they will not be using fingerprint technology in their next Galaxy S phone. Many reports suggest however, that Samsung is already hard at work on introducing an eye-scanning sensor. To me, I do not know how they will keep the cost at the same level as previous Galaxy S phones, but we will just have to wait and see.

And finally, design. The design for the previous Galaxy S phones (S, S2, S3, S4) were strongly criticized by many people including owners of the phones for having a plastic back or being made out of plastic. They though this made the phone look and feel "cheap". Samsung may or may not ditch the idea of plastic on their phones to keep their costs down, but it does look like they will abandon the idea of plastic. They may use metal (e.g. Aluminium) or they may use faux leather. The "faux leather" idea is much more realistic as it has been used on many Galaxy phones/tablets lately (Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, just to name a few)

Again, expect more content from me over the next few days, and if you want any specific news, comment and I will definitely look at them and post posts about them.
