A report suggests that Apple is working on two new iPhone model, both of which could be released in the second half of 2014. Both models are rumored to employ glass that curves downward at the edges.
In addition to this, sensors used by Apple would allow the iPhone model to determine if a touch on the display is a "heavy tap" or a "light tap", however that technology won't be ready for the next iPhone release.
For those of you unfamiliar with Apple this year, it is said that they are planning to release more than 1 iPhone model per year, so these 2 new curved model are nothing new!
According to the source, Apple is working on a 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch iPhone screen. These screen sizes will compete with high-end Android smartphones such as the Galaxy Note 3 with a 5.7 inch screen and the Nokia Lumia 1520 with a 6 inch screen.
Curved displays are not new either. Two phones that have curved displays have already been released or extremely close to being released. The Samsung Galaxy Round has a curved display from side-to-side, and the LG G Flex has a curved display from top-to-bottom.
