New Nexus 10 To Launch On Cyber Monday?

It has been a while (October) since the Samsung Nexus 10 went "out of stock" in the Google Play Store and it has not come back in stock since. Now, a new rumor is claiming that that the new Nexus 10 tablet will be released on 2/12/13, Cyber Monday.

The New Nexus 10 may be launched on Cyber Monday!
There is nothing else that backs up this rumor and unlike the Nexus 5 rumors, no other leaks/rumors have been put forward. We also don't know any of the specifications of this tablet. The biggest question is though, what hardware manufacturer will Google be partnering with for the Nexus 10. Earlier this year, Google's Sundar Pichai supposedly mentioned Samsung as the hardware partner. There were also numerous rumors claiming that Asus was the hardware partner. And most recently, we have seen rumors stating that LG will be making this tablet.

Galaxy S5 Won't Have an OIS Camera.

Before the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 came out there were rumors that it will have a camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It didn’t and rumors had it that it was due to the insufficient supply of stabilized modules in time for the launch. Then there were a couple of OIS-enabled cameras linked to Samsung – a 13MP and a 16MP camera – with speculations coming that they'll be used on the Galaxy S5.Apparently, the next Galaxy S flagship will not be featuring OIS due to a number of issues. For one, OIS camera modules are thick and might not fit in the thin Galaxy S5.
RUMORED IMAGE: The Galaxy S5 will not be featuring an OIS Camera.
Getting enough units is another issue – the Galaxy S phones sell in the tens of millions and Samsung is reportedly worried that camera suppliers won't be able to deliver enough units, at least in time for the S5 launch early next year.
Samsung executives recognize that competitors are using OIS as a marketing point, but the next flagship smartphone will most likely miss out on the feature.

Galaxy S5 To Hit Production In January?

Korean media has recently announced that there will be 2 versions of the Galaxy S5 at release. This will be a plastic version and a metal version. Two processors will also be allocated to the phone, one presumably being the new Snapdragon 805 or the 64-bit Samsung Exynos Octa-core.
However, we do not know which processor will go on which version of the phone but we may say that the premium 64-bit chip will go on the premium metal chassis.

RUMORED IMAGE: The Galaxy S5 may hit production in January!
Some other specs may be predictable such as the AMOLED display with presumably a >5" screen and possible a flexible display version. Also a Samsung executive presentation showed off a 560ppi 2560 x 1440 pixels mobile display in the works for next year.
The S5 is also claimed to have 3GB RAM, 16MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera possibly with OIS. Reports also suggest a 4000mAh battery!

The Note III will get KitKat just two months from now in January 2014 along with the international GT-I9500 Galaxy S4.

Leaked documentation reveals which devices will get Android 4.4 KitKat!
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy S III will be getting the KitKat treatment between March and April 2014.
The new KitKat experience to Sasmung devices will improve the UI performance thanks to its Project Svelte - the successor of Project Butter. This means all devices that are updated with KitKat will become smoother and faster, with even better multi-tasking and improved RAM management.

Is This The Metal Framing For The Galaxy S5?

Now, this is not certain at all, but the Galaxy S5 has recently added a new topic to its "rumored" list. This turns out to be leaked images showcasing a metal frame for a smartphone, allegedly the Galaxy S5.

The alleged metal framing for the upcoming Galaxy S5!
The frame measures 143.8 x 72.3 mm compared to 136.6 x 69.8 mm for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and 151.2 x 79.2 mm for the Galaxy Note 3. Obviously, this now tells us that the Galaxy S5 will be getting a bigger screen size than the Galaxy S4 (and S phone now has).
Also, the camera hole appears to be in one of the corner, even though Samsung puts camera on the center line of the back (original Galaxy S had it in the corner). The 3.5 mm audio jack is at the bottom, while Samsung design dictates that it should be on the top.

However, we must take note that this could well be for the unofficial Galaxy F line. Or it may really be for the Galaxy S5 which many say, will launch in January 2014. But until then, we don't know for certain!

New Samsung Midranger Leaks Out!

China's TENAA certification agency has recently taken a few images of an upcoming midrange Samsung device with the model number: SM-G7106.
Although only dual-SIM support has been confirmed out of China's TENAA, sources say that the device will run on Android OS 4.3 Kelly Bean and will sport a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and 1.5GB of RAM! The display is apparently a 5.25" of 720p resolution. The measurements are 146.7 x 75.1 x 8.88m and 163 grams in weight.

Apart from that, there are no dates pointed out or where you will be able to get the SM-G7106 but it features both WCDMA and GSM bands, so it will most likely have a global release at some point in the near future.

Galaxy S5 First to Have 560ppi Display?

Samsung is said to be prepping a 560ppi display with resolutions as high as 2560 x 1440, and the Galaxy S5 could be the first phone to sport this.
Samsung is preparing to make AMOLED displays with 560ppi for screens as small as 5", according to German electronic side OLED.at.
With no specific phones attached to this report, it would be a killer feature for Samsung's unveiling of the Galaxy S5 rumored for early next year.

LEAKED PHOTO: The Galaxy S5 could be the first phone to feature a 560ppi display!
Compare this to the Galaxy S4, it had a 5" Super AMOLED screen with a 441ppi at 1920 x 1080 pixels!
The iPhone 5S has an LCD with 326ppi at 640 x 1136 pixels. This means if the Galaxy S5 did have a 556ppi display, it would have 230 more pixels than Apple's current hardware!

Huawei President Confirms Octa-core Ascend P6S!

Huawei phones are not recognized a lot in the tech world of ours. The Huawei Ascend P6 is not only one of the slimmest, it is amazing! The phone itself is brilliant apart from one not-so-impressive feature, the chipset which tended to deliver more hear than processing power!
The news about the P6S was delivered by the company's president through the Weibo blogging platform Xu Xin Quan.

The Octa-core Huawei Ascend P6S!
Behind the screen of this phone will be another custom SoC that will come to replace the K3V2 on the company's products. It will be a true octa-core processor so all cores will run simultaneously, unlike the current Sasmung Exynos chips (using only 4 of its 8 cores at one time).
The rest of the Ascend P6S specs are unknown, but the S may only suggest minor changes to the P6. STAY TUNED!

Android 4.4 KitKat for HTC One GPE Ready!

As this is the Google Play Edition (GPE) everyone was wondering (along with the Samsung Galaxy S4 GPE) if they too would get Android updates as quickly as the Nexus line-up. Now the HTC One has not quite matched that, but it is not far behind at all!

The HTC One Google Play Edition is getting Google's latest version on Android (Android 4.4 KitKat).
The company has announced that the Android 4.4 KitKat ROM for the smartphone has been full developed and submitted to Google. It's now up to Google to approve the code and start seeding it to the phone itself. It should not take too long, but we don't know just when it is available for the HTC One.

The HTC One GPE with Android 4.4 KitKat brings Project Svelte performance optimizations, bigger UI icons, removes the widgets from the app drawer and coes with the new Hangouts SMS/MMS/Google Talk's unified hub. There is also the new Email app, new Phone app, with nearby search.

Samsung is yet to announce when the Galaxy S4 GPE will be getting the Android 4.4 KitKat ROM, but we hope it's not too long!
